1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Reel ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Reel is a scheduling tool that allows you to schedule and automatically post photo slideshows to your TikTok account. The Service connects to your TikTok account via OAuth and posts content on your behalf at scheduled times.
3. User Accounts
To use the Service, you must:
- Have a valid TikTok account
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Authorize Reel to access your TikTok account
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Upload content that violates TikTok's Community Guidelines
- Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or offensive content
- Violate any intellectual property rights
- Use the Service to spam or engage in deceptive practices
- Attempt to circumvent any limitations or security measures
- Use the Service in any way that could damage or overburden our systems
5. Content Ownership and License
You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the scheduling service.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
7. Payments and Token Purchases
Reel operates on a token-based system where tokens are used to create slideshows and access features.
- Free Tier: Free users receive 30 tokens monthly
- Paid Subscriptions: Premium ($19/month) grants 300 tokens monthly; Ultimate ($49/month) grants 1,000 tokens monthly
- Token Usage: Color background slides cost 1 token each; AI-generated image slides cost 10 tokens each
- Token Rollover: Unused tokens roll over indefinitely and never expire. You accumulate tokens month-to-month as long as your subscription is active
- Subscription Cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you retain all accumulated tokens but will not receive new monthly grants
- Non-Transferable: Tokens cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for cash
- Pricing: Subscription prices are displayed in USD and may be converted to your local currency by our payment provider
All payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments, our payment processor. By making a purchase, you agree to their terms and conditions.
8. Refund Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our refund policy is as follows:
8.1 Eligibility for Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial subscription payment if:
- You have not used more than 10% of the tokens granted in your first billing cycle
- You experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the Service
- You were charged incorrectly or fraudulently
Note: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable after the 14-day window. You may cancel anytime to prevent future charges.
8.2 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:
- More than 10% of tokens granted in the first billing cycle have been used
- More than 14 days have passed since initial subscription payment
- Requesting refund for recurring monthly charges (only initial payment eligible)
- Your account was terminated for violating these Terms of Service
- You changed your mind after using tokens to create content
- Third-party service issues (e.g., TikTok API changes, TikTok account restrictions)
8.3 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact our support team at support@reel.app
- Include your order/transaction ID
- Explain the reason for your refund request
- Allow up to 5 business days for review
8.4 Refund Processing
If approved:
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method
- Processing time is typically 5-10 business days
- Your subscription will be canceled and you will revert to the Free tier (30 tokens/month)
- Any accumulated tokens beyond the free tier allocation will be removed
- You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed
8.5 Service Failures
If our Service fails to deliver scheduled posts due to technical issues on our end (not TikTok's), we will refund the tokens used for those failed posts or provide equivalent token credits at our discretion.
9. Third-Party Services
This Service integrates with third-party services including TikTok and Leonardo.ai. You agree to comply with their respective Terms of Service and policies.
TikTok: We are not responsible for TikTok's services, API availability, or any changes TikTok makes to their platform or policies. TikTok-related issues are not grounds for refunds.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses. Our total liability for any claim arising from token purchases or use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for tokens in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may terminate your account at any time by revoking TikTok authorization and requesting account deletion.
Upon Termination: If you cancel your subscription, you will revert to the Free tier and retain up to 30 tokens. Any tokens beyond this amount will be removed. You may request a refund within the eligibility period outlined in Section 8. Scheduled posts will not be delivered after account termination.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Changes to the refund policy will not affect purchases made prior to the change.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from token purchases or payments will be subject to our payment provider's dispute resolution process.
